4:30 PM - 10:00 PMShir Hadash Campus

Our robust Selichot program includes dynamic and engaging learning for seekers of knowledge of all ages, a delicious communal dinner (register below for dinner! $20 per adult, $10 per youth), and meaningful services.

"How Much Do You Love Me? A Tale of Love and Boundaries"
The High Holy Days are often viewed as a period of judgment, yet rabbinic texts richly frame these days around motifs of love. Join us for an engaging session at the intersection of love and justice, where we will explore how these seemingly contrasting themes harmonize within the tapestry of Jewish thought. Drawing upon various sources, including Rabbi Shai Held’s insightful work, “Judaism is About Love,” we’ll delve into the dynamic relationship between judgment, love, and their boundaries.

"Knocking on Heaven’s Doors: The Power to Heal the Things We Can"
It may sound ‘pop,’ but these concepts are some of the most humane and divinely sophisticated explorations offered by Yom Kippur. Connect the dots between personal examination, the motion of change, and the renewal of healing. Delve into the 12 questions traditionally pondered as one approaches the heavenly gates, explore the impactful liturgy, and uncover the deep significance of N’ilah—the moment when the gates close. Additionally, we will explore a powerful and unusual piyut dedicated to healing.
