About Mia
Mia is a fun-loving 7th grader at Bret Harte Middle School who excels academically and is a sports fanatic. She loves playing soccer, basketball, flag football, golf, snowboarding, swimming, volleyball and pretty much anything that engages her competitive spirit. She also loves spending time with family and friends, volunteering through NCL, baking sweets and organizing our lives, we would be completely lost without her!
Mia’s Torah portion, Va’eyra, is from the book of Exodus, it details the continuation of God’s revelation to Moses and the beginning of the plagues upon Egypt. It opens with God reassuring Moses of His covenant with the patriarchs and His intention to redeem the Israelites. God speaks to Moses at the burning bush and tells him to free the Israelites.
