About Jacob
Jacob is a student at John Muir Middle School - his favorite subjects are social studies and math where he has excellent teachers. Jacob plays lacrosse on the ADVNC NorCal National Development Team and competes in lacrosse tournaments across the country! In addition to lacrosse, he also enjoys being part of the Pinehurst Piranha swim team. In his spare time he enjoys playing video games with his friends.
Jacob's Torah portion is Sh'mini, an interesting portion where Aaron's eldest sons offer a strange alien fire before God, which God had commanded them not to do, and then they die. Jacob interprets this portion as illustrating the importance of being humble and not having too much pride. Jacob's favorite thing about Shir Hadash is the sense of connection and fun such as playing Jewish games in class.
