About Henry
Henry is a freshman at Branham High School with a passion for science. This summer he plans to take science classes which will enable him to advance into AP Chemistry early. He enjoys playing the trumpet in marching band, especially the precision and teamwork required, and is proud of the success his marching band has had this year in competitions. In addition he also enjoys volunteering at Second Harvest.
Henry's Torah portion is from Exodus, and includes the critical moment of the Passover story when God splits the Red Sea and the Israelite people flee Egypt to safety. Henry finds this portion particularly interesting as it is such a pivotal moment in the history of the Jewish people. Henry's favorite thing about Shir Hadash is how nice it feels to have a Jewish community and connection to the Jewish people, as well as the support he has received from the clergy team in preparation for his Bar Mitzvah, which he deeply appreciates.
