Discovery School Visits Shir Hadash!

In March 2025 over 100 students from Discovery School took a field trip to visit Shir Hadash as part of their world religions curriculum! Rabbi Nico guided them through learning and discussing the essentials of Jewish life and what they could find and see at our synagogue, such as learning about the basics of Shabbat, and seeing the Ner Tamid, Ark and Torah.
The children were riveted and asked lots of questions! Outreach like this, connecting with the broader community, helps to foster a greater understanding between non-Jewish community members and our Jewish community. Discovery School complimented our team for being great field trip hosts, and we hope to invite their students back in future years to continue the work of building bridges of understanding, good-will, and peace!
