"What I Wish Every Parent of a Teenager Knew"

As any parent knows, the years of raising a teenager are a time of mixed blessings. There are wonderful simchas to celebrate but also many challenges to face. Many stressed-out teens lack the coping skills to help themselves get through difficult times. Often, they will not ask anyone for help. Some teens are susceptible to mental health problems or substance abuse. How do we best support our teens while keeping our balance and maintaining a sense of humor?

Our speaker, Dr. Saul Wasserman, is a child psychiatrist who has been working with youth for a long time. For twenty years he was the Medical Director of a child/psychiatric inpatient unit, and has been a member of the county Child Death Review Team for close to twenty years. He is an Emeritus Associate Professor of Child Psychiatry at Stanford and still teaches there.

Join us for this important and informative workshop.

The event is free.
