Do We Believe the Words We Pray Class

For many people, the words of the prayerbook are a stumbling block because they reflect a theology that is not our own. How do we respond to these prayers which come out of the history of our people? Our Reform movement has sometimes rejected prayers that were not consistent with Reform theology and sometimes reinterpreted them. What works best for us?
